Marilyn D. Zidd age 84 formerly of Cleveland and Roaming Shores, OH passed away Monday, Sep 12, 2011 at the Willows at Bellevue. She was born Nov. 28, 1926 in Pekin, IL the daughter of the late Walter & Mayme (Huffman) Diehl.
She was an executive secretary for Mineral Services. She graduated from the University Of Illinois in 1948 earning a BS in chemistry, she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Marilyn was dedicated to her family and community. She was active in the Cleveland League of Women Voters, Rock Creek Methodist Church, Travelers Club, and Literary Club. She enjoyed playing cards especially bridge and pinochle at Roaming Shores.
Marilyn married E. Henry Zidd on September 2, 1949 in Austen, TX, he survives her in Bellevue.
In addition to her husband her children, Gary H. (Barbara) Zidd of Morganville, NJ, Judy (Rick) Journay of Bellevue, James E. (Bonnie) Zidd of Hinckley, grandchildren, Natalie & Samantha Zidd, Justin, James, Jonathon Journay and her brother James Diehl survive her. In addition to her parent her daughter Janet Zidd preceded her in death.
A private graveside will be held at Lakewood Cemetery, 22025 Detroit Road
