Janice Lillian Miller, 89, Sandusky, died Sunday, April 8, 2018, in Stein Hospice Care Center, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on December 10, 1928 to the late Stillman and Elsie (Menzenberger) Miller, and graduated from Sandusky High School in 1946.
Jan had a diverse working life. Over the years she was an aide in the office of Dr. Edward Baxter, an office staffer at both Philco and Clevite Harris, the owner/operator of the Violet Spray Care Wash, an independent electrolysis technician, and a medical records clerk for Smart, Inc.
Janice was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sandusky, where she spent several years as the Zion Lutheran Church wedding hostess. In her free time, Jan enjoyed golfing and bowling, participating many years in area leagues. She also loved playing her trombone and was a member of the Sandusky High School Alumni Band, Vacationland Band, and Northcoast Band.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Jane Miller; 10 nieces and nephews; 12 great nieces and nephews; 13 great, great nieces and nephews, whom she treasured.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Rev. Marvin Miller, and Rev. Clyde Miller; sisters-in-law, Helen Miller and Clara Miller.
Friends may call on Saturday, April 14, 2018, from 9:30 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11 A.M. in Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Dr. Eric Bodenstab will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
