Charles E. Henry, 81, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018, in Gaymont Nursing Center Norwalk, Ohio.
He was born to the late Walton and Gladys (Swasey) Henry on September 2, 1936, in Blairsville Pennsylvania.
At age 16, Chuck moved to the Norwalk area from Homer City, Pennsylvania. Chuck was a conductor with Norfolk Southern, and retired in 1997, after 42 years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 711, in Norwalk, Ohio, and he enjoyed traveling out west, vacationing at his favorite place, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and especially enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Marcella A. (Simon) Henry, of Norwalk, Ohio, by his children, David C. Henry, Cynthia L. (Lee) LaMothe, Dwight E. Henry, and Gail L. (Neil) Burras, all of Norwalk, Ohio. Chuck is also survived by his grandchildren, Valerie (Matthew) Smith, Darren Henry, Aaron LaMothe, Zach Hyatt and great granddaughter Ava Henry.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Thomas Henry and Lois Dunmire.
There will be no visitation and no services.
