Veronica A. (Frey) Kluding

Veronica A. (Frey) Kluding, 87, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Gaymont Nursing Center, Norwalk, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 10, 1931 in Norwalk, Ohio, to the late Gilbert C. and Helen A. (Cooper) Frey, and was a lifelong area resident.

Veronica was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and was a 1948 graduate of Norwalk High School. Veronica was a member of ladies auxiliary at St. Mary Catholic Church, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She enjoyed cross stitching, knitting, camping, playing Euchre, Pinochle, Ace to King, and was an excellent cook. Her greatest joy and love was her husband and family.

She is survived by her children, Karen (Kameron) Kuhl of Milan, Ohio, Mary Geretz, Marty (Gary) Long, Helen (Dan) Hipp, Chris Kluding, all of Norwalk, Ohio, Theresa Mills of Fremont, Ohio, Andy (Crystal) Kluding of Norwalk, Ohio, Sarah (Dan) Boatwright of Danville, California, Matt (Tara) Kluding of Milan, Ohio, and Bart Kluding of Norwalk, Ohio, by 32 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and by her sister, Betty Schaffer of Norwalk, Ohio.

Veronica was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Vernon J. Kluding, February 7, 2018, by her daughter, Elizabeth in 1961, by her son, Eddie in 1970, by her brothers, Louis Frey, Charles Frey, and Jim Frey, by her sisters, Mary Ellen Gilbert, Martha Frey, and Kathleen "KiKi" Leibold, and by her sons in law, Marc Jones in 1997, and Ralph Mills in 2016.

Friends may call on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, from 4:00 p .m. to 8:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church, 38 West League Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Gilbert Mascarenhas will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
