Allen D. Taylor

Allen D. Taylor, 78 of Norwalk was called from labor to reward on Saturday, May 5, 2018 in Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

He was born on December 3, 1939 to the late William Taylor Sr. and Pearl Esther (Smith) Taylor, in Toledo, Ohio.

He graduated from Toledo Public Schools.
Allen lived in Cleveland, Ohio until 1992, before becoming a resident of Norwalk, Ohio.

Al was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Norwalk. He loved to fellowship at different churches. Al also attended bible study and evening services at New Wineskin Ministries, and Maple City Church of God in Christ, both in Norwalk, Ohio.

Allen enjoyed sewing, listening to gospel music, reading the bible, and attending church events. He truly appreciated Meals on Wheels. He was a history buff, and loved sharing his history knowledge.

Allen was a loyal and faithful friend to the late George Drummer III, and George's mother, the late Constance Swanson, who cared for Allen for many years, along with George's wife, Donna Drummer.

Allen will be sadly missed by his caregiver, Donna, and her family.

Friends may call on Saturday, May 12, from 11:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 12:00 p.m. in First United Methodist Church, 60 W. Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, 44857. Rev. Dr. Brian Oglesbee will officiate.
