Eva J. Burgess age 82 her sunrise was June 18, 1929 and sunset was Sep.20, 2011. She was born in Newna, GA the daughter of the late George & Cora May Raines.
Eva was a homemaker and a pastor's wife. She was a member of Bellevue Missionary Baptist Church.
She married Rev. Bennie L. Burgess Sr. March 4, 1947 in Anniston, AL. He preceded her in death in 2003.
Survivors include her son, Rev. Bennie L. (Dixie) Burgess, Jr. of Kannapolis, NC, daughters, Pat (Ron Drossman) Burgess of Bellevue, Kathy (Zeke) Setzler of Clyde, Ava Fuller of Tiffin, 16 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband her son, Dannie Burgess, sister, Juanita McCowan and brother Buddy Raines preceded her in death.
Friends will be received Thursday, Sep 22, 2011 from 6 - 8 pm and Friday from 10 - 11 am at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A celebration of the resurrection and thanksgiving for her life will be held Friday, Sep 23, 2011, 11:00 am at Foos and Foos Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH
