Dorothy Emma (Weyer) Miller, 94, Sandusky, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Friday, May 25, 2018, in Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born in Castalia on November 14, 1923, to the late Albert and Emma (Miller) Weyer, and attended Margaretta High School.
She was employed by Decko Products as a rose maker for over 56 years.
Dorothy loved being outside in her garden attending to her flowers, a knack for making anything grow. She was known for her beautiful cakes and cookies that she sold for many years, passing that love for baking onto her grandkids. Dorothy loved going to Amish country with her granddaughters, as much as she could. Spending time with family was most important to her.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Linda Yontz, and Cathy Miller both of Sandusky, Julie Baumer, Norwalk; son, Kenneth (Jan) Miller, Sandusky; fifteen grandchildren; twenty six great-grandchildren; and she was blessed to see four great-great-grandchildren born; sister, Eloise Mitchell, Milan; brother, Gilbert (Iona) Weyer, Castalia; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl C. Miller; parents; sons, Thomas Miller and Randall Miller; granddaughter, Kelly Hines; sister, Marilyn Rapp; and brother, Andrew Weyer.
Friends may call on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, from 11A.M. until time of funeral services at 1 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Tony Robinson, of Father's Heart Family Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
