Maribeth C. Taylor

Maribeth C. Taylor, 76, passed away on Wednesday, May 30. 2018 in Stein Hospice Service, Sandusky, Ohio.

She was born to the late Remi L. and Betty (Chandler) Plante on July 15, 1941, in Rumford, Maine.

Maribeth moved to the area from Maine in 1963. She worked as a telephone operator for Northern Ohio Phone Company, now known as Frontier Communications, in Norwalk, Ohio. She also held a position as an administrator at Van Allen Insurance Agency, and was the office manager for labor relations at the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen prior to founding and becoming President of God's Little Critters, a local non-profit organization in Willard, Ohio, over 25 years ago.

Maribeth was a member of the Church of the Master, Steuben, Ohio, and was involved with the Ohio Wildlife Rehabilitators Association (O.W.R.A.), as well as the National Wildlife Association (N.W.A.). She was known for her love of music, teaching vocals and piano lessons, and for her love of birds.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Stanton E. Taylor, of Willard, Ohio, by her daughter Lynne M. (Tony Moore) Bayley, of Willard, Ohio, by her son, Stanton (Carmella) Taylor, of Candler, North Carolina.

She is also survived by her granddaughter, Alyssa Taylor, by her brother, Russell H. (Kathy) Plante, of Kittery, Maine, her sister, Holly (Art) Gagnon, of Tampa, Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Maribeth was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Annaleah Taylor, in 2006, and by her sister, Deborah Greenlaw, in 2015.

Friends may call on Monday, June 4, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio 44857. Rev. Dan Caudill will officiate.
