Lois C. (Schill) Zacherl, 88, residing in Milan, passed away Sunday morning, June 17, 2018 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Lois was born on September 7, 1929 in Lucinda, PA to the late Maurice and Mary Madgalene (Vogelbacher) Schill.
Lois graduated from St. Joseph's High School in Lucinda, PA. She worked in the billing office at University of Clarion and was also a tour guide for Edison Birthplace. Lois was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and a book club, "Book Bunch." In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, gardening, quilting, her beloved dog "Buffy", being with her family, and visits from her grandkids.
Lois is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Bankowski of Dade City, FL, Kathleen (David) Petrucci of Wakefield, RI and Mitzi (Todd) Taylor of Milan; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lou Weaver of Shaker Heights, OH and Anna Mae Winder of Lucinda, PA; brother, Greg Schill of Pittsburg, PA and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Zacherl; son-in-law, Joseph Bankowski; sisters, Ruth Schamder and Jane Miller, and brother, Teddy Schill.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory Milan Chapel, 1 S. Main St., Milan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 145 South Center St., Milan. Father Gilbert Mascarenhas will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Milan.
