Phyllis R. Bodi, 81, residing in Bayview, passed away Monday morning, June 18, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
Phyllis was born on September 27, 1936 in Huntington, WV to the late Ralph and Darlene (Jones) Napier.
Phyllis graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1954. She was a realtor and manager of Bodi Rentals. Phyllis was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and the Sandusky AMVETS and VFW. She enjoyed reading and took great pride in her garden. She enjoyed the company of her "Westies" and loved being with her family. Phyllis fell in love with a storyteller and proceeded to have four of her own.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 64 years, Gerald E. Bodi. She is also survived by three sons, Rex (Tina) Bodi, Alan (Penny) Bodi both of Bayview and Jim (Cathy) Bodi of Westerville, OH; grandchildren, Jason, Derek, Summer, Autumn, Zachary and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Grant, Brinley and Liam; brothers, William Patrick and Robert Patrick both of Johnstown, OH and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis is preceded in death by her son, Randy Bodi.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Pastor Dan Vickey will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
