Eugene W. Gentner, 93, residing in Sandusky, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 at his residence.
Gene was born on September 27, 1924 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Frank and Eleanor (Ernenputsch) Gentner.
Gene was a Veteran of the US Army who proudly served his country during WWII. He was an insurance adjuster for Continental Insurance. Gene was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #83, VFW #2529, AmVets #17 and the Huron Eagles.
Gene is survived by his wife, Barbara (Senne-Beechler) Gentner. He is also survived by his son, Terry (Amy) Gentner; step-children, Ann (Tony) Gillingham, Chris (Samra) Beechler and Robert Beechler; grandchildren, Mandi (Ryan) Paseka and Seth Gentner; step grandchildren, Samantha (Tyler) Rapley, Paige "Heather" Beechler, Adelle (Robert) Gribben, Luke Beechler, Andrew (Amanda) Beechler, Philip (Ryan) Lynch and Grace (Ryan) Spell; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Waters and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Gene is preceded in death by his first wife, Nardyne F. Gentner and step-son, John Beechler.
Private family services were held. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
