Arthur W. "Art" Norman, Jr.,79, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio.
He was born July 16, 1938 in Bellevue, Ohio, to the late Arthur W. and Rose (Cucaro) Norman, and came to the Norwalk area in 1968 from Bellevue.
Art was a 1958 graduate of Bellevue High School. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Norwalk, Ohio, and was a former member, and deacon, of the Olena Presbyterian Church. Art was a journeyman machine repairman, and retired from Dixon Ticonderoga of Sandusky, Ohio. He was a former employee of Lake Park Industries of Greenwich, Ohio, Columbus Showcase, and Bellevue Manufacturing. Art was a farmer, and a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, and watching western television programs.
Art is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pamela S. (Miller) of Norwalk, Ohio, by his children, Gloria Johnson of Akron, Ohio, Walter (Linda) Norman of Norwalk, Ohio, and Roy D. (Anna) Norman of Wauseon, Ohio, by his grandchildren, Sephora (Cody) Fannin, Anthony Norman, Abigail Norman, Rebecca Norman, Janel Norman, Samantha Norman, Christina Norman, Jenna Norman, Joshua Sisson, and Nicholas Zanko, and one great grandson.
He is also survived by his siblings, Elizabeth Weitman of Galion, Ohio, Joan (Dave) Bundschuh of Norwalk, Ohio, Sue Meador of Bellevue, Ohio, Kathy Crawford of Bellevue, Ohio, Thomas (Sally) Norman, and Dennis (Kim) Norman.
Art was preceded in death by his son, Christopher T. Norman in 2000, and by his grandson, Joseph Sisson.
Friends may call on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, where funeral services will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Ann Marshall will officiate. Interment will be on Olena Cemetery.
