Dean Norbert Riedy, 67, residing in Huron and formerly of Milan, passed away Thursday afternoon, June 21, 2018 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Dean was born on March 29, 1951 in Norwalk, OH to the late Norbert and Florence (Schafer) Riedy.
Dean was a 1970 graduate from Edison High School. Dean was the proud owner of his own auto mechanic shop. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ. Dean was an enthusiastic drag racer, former world champion and an avid "bench racer." He was a huge fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Indians.
Dean is survived by his sister, Joan (James) Knoll of Milan and brother, Gary Riedy of Miami, FL.
In addition to his parents, Dean is preceded in death by his wife, Dona (Savage) Riedy in April, and daughter, Jill Riedy.
Private family services will be held. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
