Daniel Perry, 75, died peacefully with his family present at Stein Hospice, Sandusky, Ohio, on July 1, 2018, from a long battle with cancer.

He proudly served his country in the Marine Corps, during Vietnam, while in the service, he found an appreciation for explosives. He worked as a line inspector for Ford Motor Company, retiring in 1990. Daniel enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, guns, classic cars, cookouts, building and repairing around the house, John Wayne and Mel Brooks movies.

He was a member of the Norwalk Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 711, and was very spontaneous. Dan also enjoyed telling colorful stories and spending time with his family.

He was preceded by his parents Lyda and Green Perry, by his former wife, Lucielle (Carroll) Perry, siblings, Ellis, Joe, James, Earl, John, Steve, Henry, Edna, Betty, Ethel, and Ruth, and by his step son, Rick Hall.

Surviving him, are his wife Joan, son, Shawn and his wife Emily, siblings, Margaret, Esther, Janice, Judy, and Barbara.

He is also survived by his step daughters, Joyce Hicks, and Janet (Royal) Denny, by his step children, Veronica (Michael) Spayd, John (Angie) Gilbert, and Lanny Gilbert Jr., by several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

Friends may call on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 121 W. Broad St. Monroeville, Ohio 44847, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Amy Little will officiate. Interment will be at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst, Ohio.
