Mary Jane Miller, 91, Sandusky, died Thursday, July 12, 2018, in the Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born on May 25, 1927 in Dover, OH, to the late Anthony and Anna Jack, and was a 1945 graduate of Roseville High School.
Mary Jane married Marvin Miller on September 28, 1946 in Zion Lutheran Church, Sandusky. She was a loving mother to four daughters, and a supportive pastor's wife in congregations that included St. John's, New Baltimore, Michigan, St. John's, Fremont, OH, St. Mark's, Dayton, OH, St. John's, Bellevue, OH, and in retirement, Zion, Sandusky, and St. Peter, Monroeville, OH. She also worked as a secretary at Periodical Publishers, Sandusky and at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Dayton, OH.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Richter, Barbara (William) Biehl, Margery (Dennis) Iehle, and Nancy Vallette; grandchildren, Matt Richter, Daniel (Laura) Richter, Jennifer (Andrew) Newton, Valerie (Robert) Burch, and Emily (Nathan) Ott; eleven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Marvin Miller; sons-in-law, William Richter and Edward Vallette; brothers, Otto, Rocco, and Bruno Jack; brother-in-law, Rev. Clyde Miller; and sisters-in-law, Helen, Clara, and Janice Miller, Lydia and Linda Jack.
Friends may call on Monday, July 16, 2018, from 9:30 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11 A.M. in Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Dr. Eric Bodenstab will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
