Landon A. Kiser, 80, residing in Sandusky, went to be with the Lord early Tuesday morning, July 17, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family after a brief illness.
Landon was born on September 8, 1937 in Jenkins, KY to the late Cecil and Ardelia (Gouge) Kiser.
Landon grew up in Coeburn, Virginia and graduated from Clintwood High School in Clintwood, Virginia. He was a Veteran of the US Army. Landon retired from Farrell-Cheek Steel Company and CertainTeed Corporation. He attended Wayside Temple.
Landon is survived by his wife, Joan (Large) Kiser, whom he married on January 27, 1962. He is also survived by his daughter, Robin (Marc) Meyers; grandson, Zachary Meyers; brothers, Joe (Lona) Kiser of Sandusky, Mack (Sandy) Kiser and Jerry Kiser both of Coeburn, VA and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Landon is preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberli Kiser, in infancy.
Friends may call on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 in the funeral home at 10:00 am. Pastor Rusty Yost of Wayside Temple will co-officiate with Rev. Wayne Keith. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
