Tommy A. Jenkins, 70, residing in Sandusky, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, July15, 2018.
Tom was born on September 8, 1947 in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Vernon and Lauretta "Rita" Jenkins.
He was a Perkins High School graduate of 1965 where he still holds many basketball records and was honorable mention All-American. Tom went on to graduate from The Ohio State University in 1972 with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology.
Tom owned and operated Health Plus Natural Foods in Sandusky for the last 25 years.
Tom attended Eagles Nest Church. He enjoyed playing basketball, poker, martial arts, going to Cedar Point with his grandchildren, walking in nature, the vegan pot lucks, meditation, and spending time with his family and friends.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Shannon "Jaya" (Chris) Brunning of Sandusky; grandchildren, Quinn, Shivan, and Vishnu; brother, Jerry Jenkins of Berlin Heights; niece and nephew, Cassie Jenkins and Jonathan Schafer; uncle, Gene (Carol) Swain of Sandusky.
In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his sister in infancy, Sondra Sue Jenkins.
Friends may call on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 11:00 am. Pastor Mel Saylor will officiate.
