Gladys Borowsky age 91 of Bellevue passed away Friday, Sep 23, 2011 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky. She was born Dec. 1, 1919 in Sherwood, OH the daughter of the late Frank & Addie (Patten) Jones.
Gladys retired from General Electric, Bellevue Lamp Plant.
She was a member of Bellevue Assembly of God which she founded along with her sister, Bessie Shaffer.
She married Alfred W. Borowsky Oct. 20, 1956 in Angola, IN. He preceded her in death May 5, 2000.
Gladys is survived by her support team, Pat DeVault, Marilyn Miller, Charlotte Thompson and Tina Davis. In addition to her parents and husband her brothers, Wallace, Harold, Rolland, and Carl Jones, sisters, Bessie Shaffer, Grace Nuesbaum, Rose Nuesbaum, Beulah Diehl and Fern Jones preceded her in death.
Friends will be received Tuesday, Sep. 27, 2011 from 7 – 9 pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am Bellevue Assembly of God, 770 Kilbourne St., Bellevue, OH. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
