Joseph J. Reineke age 86 formerly of Bellevue passed away Friday, Sept. 17, 2010 at Grant Medical Center, Columbus.

He was born Nov. 13, 1923 in Plantersville, TX the son of the late Joseph & Kathryn (Wolfe) Reineke. Joe retired from GE, Bellevue Lamp Plant after 37 Years of service and was a WWII veteran serving in the US Navy. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, American Legion Post 46 and the Knights of Columbus. He helped design Twin Lakes Golf Course. Joe enjoyed fishing and was well known for the fish scaling machine he designed and built. He enjoyed gardening, especially growing roses and tomatoes.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Alice (Meyers) Reineke whom he married Oct. 8, 1946 in Bellevue at Immaculate Conception Church, son, Douglas (Dee) Reineke of LaVale, MD, daughters, Joan Koechley of Annapolis, MD, Marlene (Richard) Bushman of Grove City, OH, Sister Marie Julie, SND "Mary Kay" of Gainesville, FL, Sandra (J. Thomas) Gleespen of Prospect, OH, grandchildren, Brian, Kirsten, K.C., Rebecca, Todd, Rachel, Sarah, Timothy, David, Joseph, Valerie, Janis, Joyce, 6 great grandchildren, and his brother William Reineke of Baytown, TX.

 In addition to his parents his sister Lydia Boudloche preceded him in death.

Friends will be received Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010 from 9:00 - 10:30 am at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, OH 44811. A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00 am in Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
