Marjorie "Midge" E. Harris, 90, of Sandusky, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018 in The Meadows at Osborn Park after a lengthy illness.
She was born on August 12, 1927 in Sandusky to the late George J. and Margaret (Gerber) Market.
A homemaker, Marjorie took care of home and family. She was a founding member of the former Resurrection Lutheran Church in Sandusky, loved to crochet rugs, yardwork, canning, and was an avid stamp collector. She also worked, helped, and volunteered around the community through the years. Most important, however, was her family.
Marjorie is survived by her sons, Roland T. (Jacqueline) Harris, Jr., of Sandusky, and Craig J. (Dawn Ventry) Harris, of Orient, OH; grandchildren, Roland T. (Dana) Harris, III and Amanda (Glenn) Donnithorne; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roland T. Harris, Sr., just this past March 2018; sisters, Mary Coe and June Hamman; and brothers, George Market, Jr. and Eddie Market.
A committal service will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2018 in the chapel at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Chaplain Mel Sayler, Stein Hospice, will officiate. Marjorie will then be laid to rest in her wedding dress alongside her beloved husband.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marjorie's name to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
