Anita M. (Grimes) Moore, 71, of Sandusky, died Thursday, August 9, 2018 in her home.
She was born on January 7, 1947 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late John and Donna (Tolliver) Grimes.
A 1964 graduate of Margaretta High School, Anita worked as a bar maid for several area establishments for 26 years and for the Ford Motor Company for 6 years until her health failed her.
She loved her dogs. She also loved being outdoors, fishing, camping, and taking care of flowers. She loved her family dearly and will be missed.
Anita is survived by her sisters and brothers, Deborah Adams, of Sandusky, Dixie (Don) Rexroth, of Fremont, Michael Grimes, of Alabama, James Grimes, of Norwalk, and Kenneth (Teresa) Grimes, of Mansfield; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Steven and William Grimes; and sister, Bonita Harpst.
It was Anita's wish to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14 in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Chaplain Mel Sayler will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anita's name to her family in care of the funeral home.
