Brenda Williams Stockett, 59, Sandusky, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011, in Stein Hospice Care Center, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on March 28, 1952 in Brooksville, Mississippi, and moved to Sandusky in 1973.
Brenda was employed as a supervisor for Firelands Regional Medical Center for over 20 years.
Brenda leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Willie “Poon” Stockett; son, Troy Williams, Columbus, OH; daughter, Ashley Evans, Sandusky; sisters, Mattie Nichols, Birmingham, AL, Linda Armstrong, Patterson, NJ, Glenda Davis, and Vickie Gates, both of Jackson, MS, Murry Williams, Columbus, MS, and Lynne Williams, Tacoma, WA; brothers, Melvin Williams and Morris Williams, both of Brooksville, MS, and LeRoy Williams, San Antonio, TX; six grandchildren; twenty nieces; twenty-one nephews; thirty-two great- nieces; three aunts; three uncles; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and many other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Octavia (Anderson) Williams.
Friends may call on Friday, September 30, 2011, from 7-9 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12 P.M. (Noon) in Emmanuel Temple, 128 E. Adams St, Sandusky. Pastor Kristopher J. Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at www.toftfh.com.
