Nellie M. Price, 81, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio.
She was born December 23, 1936 in Bluffton Township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, to the late John D. and Pricilla M. (Peddicord) Shearer and came to this area in 1966 from Pennsylvania.
Nellie retired from Van Dresser Corp. of Norwalk, Ohio, and was a former employee of Comfort Keepers, Norwalk, Ohio. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, reading, going shopping, flea markets, was a good cook, country music and the Grand Ole Opry, and caring for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Nellie is survived by her children, James R. (Laurie) Price of Monroeville, Ohio, Ronald L. (Debbie) Price of Lorain, Ohio, Debra J. (Marvin) Ebinger of Norwalk, Ohio, and Steven J. Price of Norwalk, Ohio, by 15 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her siblings, Jaminia "Minie" Patterson of Indiana, Pennsylvania, Mildred George of Homer City, Pennsylvania, and Dorothy Kuiesza of Monroeville, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Price in 2013, by her sons, Michael A. Price in 1999, and Jay H. Price in 2015, by her siblings, Birdie Patterson, Bill Patterson, and Alice Patterson.
Friends may call on Tuesday, August 14, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
