Kathy Sue (Rarey) Johnson, 66, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018, in the Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born on March 15, 1952 in Sandusky to the late Richard C. and Clara (Smith) Rarey.
Kathy grew up in Margaretta Township and attended Margaretta Local Schools. She received confirmation as a youth at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Kathy was a member of New Life Community Church, Fremont, where she was baptized on August 6, 2017. She also enjoyed being a member of the Buckeyes CB Club as "Lady Bug", going to bingo, garage sales, and being with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Johnnie "Al" Johnson, to whom she married August 9, 1969, celebrating their 49 anniversary last week; daughters, Connie Lunsford and Susan (Rodney) White; grandchildren, Emily Johnson, Brandon White, and Brent White; her cat, Bubberz; and a brother, Richard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; aunts, Wilma McVetta and Dorothy Smith; and her grandparents.
Friends may call on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 4-7 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Friends may also call on Saturday, from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11 A.M. in the funeral home. Pastor Dan Ritter will officiate. Burial will follow in Castalia Cemetery.
