William D. Pack, Jr.

William D. Pack, Jr., of Huron, passed away Friday morning, August 24, 2018 at Firelands Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

William was born on July 11, 1938 in Cleveland, OH to the late William D. Pack, Sr. and Mildred (McFadden) Pack.

William graduated from St. Ignatius High School in 1956 and furthered his education at Parks College in St. Louis, Missouri graduating in 1959 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He was a United States Army Veteran and worked at N.A.S.A. for over 32 years. William was a member of Phi Alpha Chi Fraternity, Holy Angels Catholic Church, the Sandusky Yacht Club and the former IAB Club.

William is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara (Yontz) Pack, whom he married on June 13, 1964; daughter, Stacey Pack of Toledo; 2 sons, Craig (Lisa) Pack of Huron and Todd (Amy) Pack of San Diego, California and 4 grandchildren, whom he adored, Nathan, Nicholas, Sydney and Morgan.

In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Ann Sanders and Janet Cline and brother, John Pack.

Friends and family may call on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 1, 10:00 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870.
