Thomas O. Rippon, 83, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018 in Twilight Gardens Home.
He was born June 7, 1935 in Wakeman, Ohio, to the late George and Delores (Ridenhour) Rippon, and was a lifelong area resident.
Tom was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in France of 2 years.
Tom retired from Wheeler Sheet Metal in 1998 after 30 years of service. He was a member of Ken Bur Bell Post #41 American Legion, Knights of Columubs #626, and Amvets.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was a great handyman for family and friends, and loved animals, especially his dog, Bear.
Tom is survived by his children, Thomas G. Rippon of Norwalk, Ohio, Tami Ringholz of Norwalk, Ohio, by his step son, Wes Ewing of Norwalk, Ohio, and by his step daughter, Valerie Jones of Norwalk, Ohio.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
Tom was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois R. (Rintzenthaler) in 1977, and by his second wife, Bonnie (McRae) Rippon in 2015.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial services will be private.
