Robert E. Schneider, 85, a resident of the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky died Friday morning, September 30, 2011 in the Firelands Regional Medical Center. He was born December 14, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio and was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte and his parents. Friends may call Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 9:30 AM until time of Christian Burial Mass at 10:00 AM in the Giffin Chapel of the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Military Service will follow at 11:00 AM. Father Edward Czech and Chaplain Paul Birmingham will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior Street, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
