Howard S. Bower, 80, Sandusky, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 10, 2018, in Parkvue Healthcare Center.
He was born on January 20, 1938 in Clarksburg, WV, to the late Jacob C. and Mamie E. (Nickles) Bower.
Howard retired from Ford Motor Company, Lorain after 26 faithful years.
He had a passion for hunting, turkey shoots, firearms, and spending time with his children.
He is survived by his wife, Mable E. (Thompson) Bower; children, Jackie (Dave) Uhl, Jamie Bower, Debra (Leslie) Hall, and Bonnie Bower. He loved taking his grandchildren's money in family poker, Heather (Eric) Ernsberger, Jacob Lucas, Greg (Abby) Hall, Lorissa (Jacob) Stout, Jay Bower, Zach Bower, and James J. Bower; twin sisters, Pearl Osborne and Bonnie (Joe) Majoy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, twins, Eva Smoles and Everett Bower, twins, Violet Barker and Virgil Bower, Francis Bower, Ester Wiley, James Bower, and Marvin Bower; step daughter, Cindy (Butler) Baum.
Friends may call on Friday, September 14, 2018, from 9:30 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:30 A.M. in New Life Church, 6511 Milan Rd., Sandusky. Rev. John Adams will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
