Cecilia C. Young, 82, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, Ohio.
She was born on July 16, 1936, to the late Myles J. and Marie (Grosswiler) McGinn, in Norwalk, Ohio.
Cecilia graduated from St. Paul Catholic High School, was a lifetime member of St. Paul Catholic Church and lifelong area resident. She loved taking care of her family, enjoyed sewing, traveling to the Florida Keys with her family, socializing with her High School Women's club, and sewing. Cecilia was co-owner of Patio Enclosures, with her husband, and she was also a previous Girls Scout and 4-H leader.
She is survived by her daughters, Jackie (Robert) Kellogg, of Palm City, Florida, Denise (Ken) Stiert, of Norwalk, Ohio, Bobbi Pierce, of Norwalk, Ohio, Susan (Steven) Sweeting, of North Fairfield, Ohio, and Jamie (Mike) Briehl, of Monclova, Ohio.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, by her siblings, Gertrude McGinn, of Norwalk, Ohio, and Virginia (John) Jarvis, of Bellevue, Ohio, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Cecilia was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Jack Young, in 2004, by her granddaughter, Stephanie L. Pierce, in 1988, and by her siblings, Myles McGinn, Edward McGinn, Marie Frances Doughty, Elizabeth May McGinn, and Margaret Ashley.
Friends may call on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2018, in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St. Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Andrew Wellmann will officiate.
