Robert G. Babcock Jr. of Sandusky, passed away early Monday morning, October 1, 2018 at Providence Care Center following a lengthy illness.
Robert was born on December 21, 1944 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Robert G. Sr. and Dorothy M. (Ihrig) Babcock.
Robert attended Colonial High School in Orlando, Florida and worked at various places throughout his life. He was an avid NASCAR fan and watched as many races as he could.
In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his son, Robert G. Babcock, III.
Robert is survived by his ex-wife, Bonnie Babcock of Florida; daughter, Brooke Ellen Park of Florida; 3 grandchildren, Justin, Austin and Jordan and brother, Ric (Patricia) Babcock of Sandusky.
Friends and family may call on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 3:30 pm until the time of funeral services at 5 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky. Robert's brother, the Reverend Ric Babcock will be presiding over the services.
