Carlos L. Contreras, 38, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018, in his home.
He was born on December 5, 1979, in Defiance, Ohio, and was a lifelong area resident.
Carlos graduated from Norwalk High School, in 1998, he was employed by American Quality Stripping, Sandusky, Ohio, and attended Faith Memorial Assembly of God Church, in Sandusky, Ohio. Carlos enjoyed camping, music, going to concerts, being with his friends, and helping people.
He is survived by his mother, Sarah Contreras, of Norwalk, Ohio, and his father Roberto Contreras, also of Norwalk, Ohio. He is also survived by his sister, Tina Contreras, of Toledo, Ohio, by his maternal grandmother Alice M. Gerstenberger, of Norwalk, Ohio, and paternal grandmother, Diamantina Contreras, of Definace, Ohio.
Carlos is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dorsey, Gerstenberger, by paternal grandfather, Ignacio Contreras, and by his uncle, Ignacio Contreras Jr.
Friends may call on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, from 1:00 until time of service at 4:00 p.m. in Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St. Norwalk, Ohio 44857. Rev. Ann Marshall of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Norwalk, Ohio, will officiate. Inurnment will be in St. Jacobs Cemetery, Republic, Ohio.
