Kenneth G. Bores, 61, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully in Stein Hospice Care Center in the presence of his wife on October 22, 2018.
He was born on July 19, 1957 in Monroeville.
Kenneth attended Huron High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served our country on the U.S.S. Belknap CG-26. Ken survived a fatal collision aboard the Belknap with the John F Kennedy aircraft carrier in 1975 and was honorably discharged shortly after.
He was married to Linda L. DeCaro on January 14, 1978. Kenneth worked for Ford Motor Company (Lorain) and later transferred to Ford Motor Company in Sandusky, where he worked for more than 30 years. He retired in 2007.
Kenny loved helping people. He helped all his neighbors and enjoyed visits with friends and family. His greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren, children, and taking care of his wife.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Linda DeCaro; son Christopher (Nicole); daughter, Candace Bores; grandchildren, Shaun Gill, Kaitlyn Gill, Emily Gill, Lillian Bores, and Morgan Pearce.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Hillary and Virginia (Schippel) Bores.
Per Kenny's wishes, cremation will take place. A celebration of life luncheon will be on Saturday, October 27 at 2 p.m. in the Toft Event Room, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting with arrangements.
