Mrs. Barbara J. Scott of Castalia, Ohio received her wings on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Mercy Saint Joseph's Hospital in Warren Ohio at the age of 89.
She was born on October 15, 1929 in Sumner Mississippi to Homer and Lear Anderson.
She wed Robert Lee Scott Sr. in 1946 prior to moving to Ohio. She was employed by and retired from Sawmill Creek Lodge. She attended New Vision Christian Church Center with her daughter Carmelita Scott.
Barbara is survived by 12 children: Robert (Gwendolyn) Scott Jr., Clinton (Cassandra) Scott Sr., Gloris (Larry) Jackson, Burnell (Paula) Scott, Joann Harris, Joyce (Michael) Ranson, Juanita Williams, Felix (Colleen) Scott Sr., Terry (Trish) Scott, Tracy (Jodi) Scott, Carmelita (Brian) Copeland and Kendrick Scott Sr.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Vernell (Mildred) Anderson; sister-in-law, Mary Churchwell and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Lee Scott Sr; her parents, brothers Homer Anderson and Joe Fox; sister Catherine Hill; and grandson Artis "Junie" Williams III.
Visitation will be from 11 am Thursday, November 1 until funeral services at noon at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce Street, Sandusky. Burial will be at Meadow Green Memorial Park Cemetery, Huron.
