Isabelle L. Wetherill, 91, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 in Gaymont Care and Rehabilitation, Norwalk, Ohio.
She was born February 25, 1927 in Fostoria, Ohio, to the late Clayton R. and Lulu G. (Heiserman) Dieter.
Isabelle came to this area in 1987, with her late husband, Rev. Melvin R. Wetherill, from Lakeside, Ohio. She was a member of the Norwalk First United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Women. Isabelle had served on various committees at the church and was a member of the 55 Ministry, the Norwalk Research Club, and the Fisher-Titus Medical Center Auxiliary. She worked in the church office at Lakeside United Methodist Church, was a gardener and groundskeeper for the Lakeside Association, and had her own craft business.
Isabelle was a former employee of the Preis Store in Norwalk, Ohio. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, reading, and especially enjoyed spending time with her children, and grandchildren.
Isabelle is survived by her children, Gary T. (Pam) Wetherill of Venice, Florida, John R. (Mollie) Wetherill of Norwalk, Ohio, and Mindy (Scott) Myers of Worthington, Ohio, by 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Ann (Wetherill) Winfield in 2012, by her grandson, Jeffrey M. Murray, great grandson, Spenser Brady, and by her siblings, James Dieter, Howard Dieter, Virgil Dieter, and Rosemary Young.
Friends may call on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, where funeral services will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. Brian Oglesbee will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
