Frank E. Dahlke, 86, residing in Plant City and formerly of Sandusky, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Lakeland, FL following a lengthy illness
Frank was born on September 20, 1932 in Sandusky, OH to the late Frank and Edna (Luedtke) Dahlke.
Frank was a 1950 graduate of Sandusky HIgh School. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and served on the USS Salem during the Korean War. He was employed at Grill Meats in Sandusky for over 25 years before settling in Tampa, FL in 1973. Frank was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Plant City, FL. He loved golfing and playing cards as well as many other activities. Most of all he loved to make people laugh.
Frank is survived by his sons, Craig (Trenette) of Orlando, FL, Rod (Tracie), Scott (Dawn) and Todd (Justine) Dahlke; daughters, Sandy (Flint) Seth of Plant City, FL and Darla (Mikeal) Latham of St. Peters, MO; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; step-sons, Dan (Donna) Sharp of Sandusky, Gary (Kelly) Sharp of Bay Village and David (Annie) Sharp of Sandusky; step-daughters, Linda (Pete) Stouffer of Holly, MI and Jennifer Sharp of Columbus; 10 step-grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; brother, Milton (Mae) Dahlke of Huntsville, TX; sister, Lois (Paul) Brown of Lakeland, FL and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by first wife of 35 years, Joan Dahlke; second wife of 28 years, Beverly Dahlke; step-daughter, Karen (Kim) Lombardy; brother, Howard Dahlke and sister, Delores Lastrapes.
Friends may call on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 12:00 pm until the time of funeral services at 2:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Rev. Dean Pfeffer of Hope Lutheran Church in Plant City, FL will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
