Mary "Maggie" Ella Rhodes, 80, Sandusky, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on December 21, 2018, at Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born to Lucy and James Lockett on February 8, 1938 in Shuqualak, MS.
Maggie was baptized in Jesus name and filled with the holy spirit in 1979. She was a faithful member of the Emmanuel Apostolic Temple Church for 39 years under the direction of Bishop Saunders. At the church, she was known as "Mother Rhodes". She was a member of the Pastors Choir, Alter Society, and the Kitchen Committee. She loved to cook, shop, and Praise the Lord.
She is survived by her children, Willie (Poone), (Jan Paige) Sandusky, Betty Winston- Stockett (James), Shuqualak MS, Linda Lindsey, Belzoni, MS., Kay Stockett Toledo, OH, Deborah Carlisle, Lexington, KY, Patricia Rhodes (John) Toledo, OH, Jeffrey Rhodes, Sandusky; grandchildren, Troi Williams, Columbus, OH, Andre' Stockett, Sandusky, Antoine Stockett, Sandusky, and Ashley Evans, Columbus, OH; a host of great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Vanessa Lockett; and a great-granddaughter, Adore' Stockett.
Special thanks to Sarah Peck, Connie Davis, Sister Rebecca Pace, Minister Annie King, Rose Morin & family, Elder Johnny Neal, Lois Green, and TaShonya McCray. The family would also like to give thanks to Katie, RN and Sara, PT of Firelands Homecare, the ICU nurses at Firelands Regional Medical Center and the staff at Stein Hospice Care Center.
Private family services will be held.
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the SIDS or the Kidney Foundation.
