Luther R. Moore, Sandusky, was called home Monday, October 17, 2011, at his residence.
He was born on March 14, 1928 in Meridian, MS.
He was employed as a welder and molder for Lake Casting and also worked in masonry for Karl Reidel Construction.
Luther leaves to cherish his memory, children, Carol Moore, Lima, OH, and Teresa Moore, Sandusky; granddaughter, Arnetta Johnson, Lima, OH; and a host of great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; aunt, Helen Casson; brothers, Howard (Bobbie) Moore, Albert (Malarie) Moore, Bobbie (Grace) Moore, and Gregory (Bridget) Moore; sisters, Earmia Philon, Mary Jean (Richard) Hubbard, and Rosie Bourdeaux; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Armetta (Durr) Moore; parents, Ree and Eddie (Mobley) Moore; brothers, Johnny Ree Moore, Roosevelt Moore, Timothy Moore, Edward Moore, and Joe Willie Moore; sisters, Kathy Moore and Helen Gowdy.
Friends may call on Monday, October 24, from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. (Noon) in New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1920 Eddy Henry Way, Sandusky. Rev. Curtis L. Johnson Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky is assisting the family with arrangements.
