Douglas "Doug" Brian Crawford, 60, and Charlene "Char" Crawford (Muscioni) (McCormick) Crawford, 59, both of Shelby, were taken suddenly on January 28, 2019 in a tragic automobile accident in Bellevue, Ohio.
Doug was born on January 24, 1959 in Sandusky, Ohio. He graduated from Sandusky High School in 1977.
He was a man of many trades with several career ventures. He married Charlene in 2012 and they lived together in Shelby. They rarely left each other's side, spending time collecting antiques, visiting vineyards, traveling, and spending time with his mother Barbara. His interests were many, and included photography, genealogy, music, and art.
Charlene was born on January 2, 1960 in Sandusky, Ohio to Joan and Frank Muscioni. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1978. She attended Bowling Green University and graduated with an associate degree in medical records in 1980. She married Douglas Crawford in 2012 after moving to Shelby, Ohio. Her children remember her as a kind mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals and dreams.
Doug is survived by his sister, Beth Richards; five children, Cheryl Vance (Jason), Calvin Douglas Crawford (Chelsea), Benjamin Crawford (Katherine), Kali Sexton (Matt), and Thomas Crawford (Kimberly); many grandchildren he loved very much; and two dogs, Brutus and Pup-Pup.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Coolidge Crawford and Barbara Alice Crawford; and brother, Donald Arthur Crawford.
Charlene is survived by her parents, Joan and Frank Muscioni; children, Jay (Jillian), Joey (Shana), and Jude McCormick; brother, Frank Muscioni, Jr.; niece, Raquel Muscioni; and grandson, Giuseppe McCormick.
A memorial service will be held from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, February 2 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1951 Middle Bellville Rd., Mansfield, OH 44904. Family and friends of Doug and Charlene are invited to attend the non-denominational memorial service to celebrate their lives.
