Debra J. (McKillips) Chapman, 65, residing in Castalia, passed away Wednesday evening, February 6, 2019 at Stein Hospice Care Center following a lengthy illness.
Debra was born on April 20, 1953 in Sandusky, OH to the late Donald N. and Virginia M. (Grathwol) McKillips Sr.
Debra graduated from Perkins High School in 1971. She had been employed with Perkins Schools, Jolly Donut and Drug Mart. She enjoyed going to the casino, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
Debra is survived by her daughters, Heather (Randy) Sleek of Sandusky and Jennifer Snyder of Castalia; grandchildren, Cameron, Ava, Brock and one on the way; sisters, Julie (Charlie) Buchholz of Huron, Cyndi (Dave) Boggs of Castalia, Ginger (Tom) Moses of Clyde and Vicki (Mike) Chamberlain of Sandusky; brothers, Don (Linda) of Castalia, Allan (Jill), Keith (Sue), Bill (Suzanne) all of Sandusky and Rob (Jenny) McKillips of Gladwin, MI; special goddaughter, Liz Chamberlain; special friend, Sue Sanders of Castalia and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Debra is preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Brogle in 1987 and her second husband, Ronald Chapman in 2002.
Friends may call on Monday, February 11, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 11:00 am. Pastor Ken Hiser of Faith Memorial Church will officiate.
