June Scott

June Scott, age 96, of Vickery, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family Monday morning, February 18, 2019, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.

She was born October 16, 1922, in Verdunville, WV and graduated from Logan High School in 1940.

June worked for Rinks retail store and later retired from Cooks United. June loved traveling, NASCAR, gardening, and spending time with her family, especially during Christmas. June was a loving mother, grandmother (Grammer), great grandmother, and great great grandmother that formed the foundation of the family which will be for generations to come. She will be sadly missed, but still lives on in our hearts and memories; we are thankful God chose her for us.

She is survived by two daughters Brenda (Butch) Ruthsatz, Castalia, and Diane (Bill) Stauder, Huron; one son Terry Scott, Sandusky; daughter-in-law Kathy Scott, Norwalk; 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; two sisters Agnes Conley and Alberta Spurlock, WV; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special caretaker Tara.

June was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Lewis, who died in January 1997; parents Green and Norma (Baisden) Mullins; son Lewis Jr. and his wife Kate, son Rodney Scott; daughter-in-law Debbie Scott; grandson Brian Stauder; sister Dortha Bias; and brothers Druie, Okal, Setain, and John Mullins.

Friends may call from 5-7 PM Wednesday, February 20, 2019, and from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Services, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Rev. Kathleen Suggitt will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
