Charles Dennis “Denny” Coffey, 63, Sandusky, died on Sunday, October 16, 2011, in Concord Care & Rehabilitation Center after a battle with cancer.
He was born on October 9, 1948, in Sandusky, and was a 1966 graduate of Perkins High School. After graduation, Denny entered the U.S. Marines and received three medals and the Purple Heart for his tour in Vietnam. He spent most of his life in Utah.
He is survived by a brother, Bill R. (Louella) Coffey, Claypool, AZ; aunt, Betty Roe, Houston, TX; cousin, Bobbie Jean Schenk; nephews, other relatives, and a true friend to the end, Pam Litzenberg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Viola (Pitts) Coffey; and a brother, James “Jim” Coffey.
At Denny’s request, cremation has taken place in the Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. There will be no visitation or services.
