Elizabeth "Betty" Ottilia (Stoll) Maloney

Elizabeth "Betty" Ottilia (Stoll) Maloney, 83, residing in Milan, passed away at peace Wednesday evening, March 13, 2019 at Gaymont Nursing Home.

Betty was born on April 13, 1935 in Norwalk, OH to the late Arthur A. and Mabel E. (Kramer) Stoll.

Betty was a 1953 graduate of Milan High School and was employed at Norwalk Truck Lines, where she met her husband, Richard, whom she married June 10, 1961. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, where she sang in the church choir, was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and a religious education teacher. Betty was also a former Woman of the Year at St. Anthony's. Betty was known throughout the area for making her famous Cream Pies at Grundy's Loft. She enjoyed taking day trips, gardening and watching her grandchildren's sporting events. She loved watching the Cleveland Indians and spending time with her family and friends. Betty was a kind and loving person, who only spoke well of others.

Betty is survived by her husband, Richard; daughters, Jill (Charles) Wooten of Elmore, OH and Holly (Martin) Schaffer of Norwalk; sons, Timothy (Kimberlee) of Norwalk and Christian (Sharon) Maloney of Huron; 14 grandchildren; sister, Rita Welfle of Norwalk; brothers, Edward (Mary Frances) of Milan, Lawrence (Mary Ann) of Norwalk, Michael (Becky) of Norwalk and Theodore Stoll of Lakewood and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her sister, Donna Moore and brothers, Arthur James Stoll and Daniel Stoll.

Friends may call on Monday, March 18, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory Milan Chapel, 1 S. Main St., Milan. A Rosary Service will be held, Tuesday morning, March 19th at 9:30 am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 145 South Center St., Milan, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Monsignor Ken Morman will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Milan.
