Beverly Jean Norris Pettis, 59, Sandusky, passed away November 19, 2010 in Firelands Regional Medical Center, after a brief illness.
She was born on September 10, 1951 in Sandusky and attended Sandusky High School. She was formerly employed by Lear International Automotive Component for 12 years. Beverly was a member of Agape Love Ministries and served as a Pastor's aide and on the Usher Board.
She leaves to mourn her passing, husband, Willie B. Pettis, whom she was married 8 years; daughters, MeLissa A. Norris, Sandusky, Sheanneen R. Shelby and Kendra N. Shelby, both of Columbus, OH; step-daughter, Emily Pettis, Cincinnati, OH; son, Robert Sparks Jr., Sandusky; step-son, Blake Pettis, Sandusky; mother, Emma Smoot, Sandusky; sisters, Bernita White, Belville, MI, Cathy (Jerry) Johnson, Darlene White, Shirley Norris, and Cindy Knight, all of Sandusky; brothers, Gregory Norris, Youngstown, OH, Jerry (Cathy) Webb, Pittsburgh, PA, Roger (Maureen) White, Lorain, OH, and Ronnie Smoot, Sandusky; very special aunt, Anna Mae Barron, Sandusky; host of grandchildren, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and mother-in-law, Mamie Pettis.
She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Leroy Norris; grandmother, Anna B. Norris, who raised her; grandfather, Govenor Norris; grandmother, Josie Webb; sisters, Jane White Turner and Cindy Norris.
Friends may call on Wednesday, November 24, 2010, from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. in Agape Love Ministries, 4013 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Bishop Clifton T. Jones, Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is assisting the family with arrangements.
