Kenneth J. Chill

Kenneth J. Chill, 53, residing in Monroeville, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Ken was born on November 7, 1965 in Sandusky, OH to the late Julian and Janice (Myers) Chill.

Ken attended Perkins High School and EHOVE Career Center. As owner/operator of Chill's Body Shop, he restored countless classic cars, hot rods and tractors. He enjoyed spending time in his shop and attending car shows, where he would showcase his vehicles. He enjoyed cookouts with family and friends.

Ken is survived by his wife, Julie (Long) Chill. He is also survived by his daughter, Alyssa Chill of Sandusky; step-daughter, Elizabeth Long of Sandusky; step-son, Marcus Yates of Monroeville; sisters, Gayle (Tom) Ward of North Richland Hills, TX and Peg (Christian) Moll of Gibsonburg, OH; brother, George (Val) Chill of Norwalk and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Ken is preceded in death by his sister, Bonny Layne; brothers, Gary and Stephen Chill; brothers-in-law, Steven Long and Wayne Towslee; father-in-law, Ray Long and his dog, Austin.

Friends may call on Monday, April 8, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Friends may also call in the funeral home on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 12:00 pm until the time of funeral services at 1:00 pm. Chaplain Mel Sayler will officiate. Burial will follow in Milan Cemetery.
