Robert "Bob" William Seiche, 87, residing in Norwalk, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 7, 2019 at Stein Hospice Care Center.
Bob was born on July 30, 1931 in Sandusky, OH to the late Karl and Bertha (Knaf) Seiche.
Bob attended Holy Angels Elementary School and graduated from Sandusky High School. He was a machinist at New Departure for 30 years, and also was employed with Firelands Security, the Huron County Transportation and Wine Wholesalers in Norwalk over the years. Bob was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Norwalk. He was also a life time member of the Knights of Columbus, where he was a past Grand Knight, and also a member of the Cursillo and Marriage Encounter, the American Philatelic Society, and the Austrialian and Asian Stamp Collecting Society. In his spare time, he enjoyed driving the bus for St. Paul activities, stamp collecting, traveling all 50 States and 100 Countries. He also enjoyed animals, plants, and walnut trees, playing Euchre and Pinochle and spending time with his family and friends.
Bob is survived by his wife, Alice (Reiter) Seiche, whom he married on July 2, 1966 at the Villa Maria Chapel in Greensprings, OH. He is also survived by his son, Robert M. (Heather) Seiche of Natick, MA and their children, Grace and David; daughters, Monica (Jeff) Sommers of Monroeville, OH and their son, Nathan, Marilyn (Chintan) Mistry of Lisle, IL and their children, Ajit, Vijay, Sunit and Navin, and Margaret (Jacob) Ho of Flushing, NY and their children, Gretchen and Isaac; brother-in-law, Luke Reiter of Tiffin, OH and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his brothers, Carl, Paul and Ludwig Seiche; sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Reiter, Florence Ringle, Dorothy McKinnon and Ruth Roessner and brothers-in-law, John and Sam Reiter.
Friends may call on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory Milan Chapel, 1 S. Main St., Milan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 1:00 pm at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Father Andrew Wellmann will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, Norwalk.
