Mary Kathleen (Simpson) Clark, 80, residing in Sandusky, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 11, 2019 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain.
Mary was born on December 10, 1938 in Oak Hill, OH to the late Roscoe and Lexie (Malone) Simpson.
Mary was a member of the Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to antique car shows, crocheting, doing puzzles, reading, and watching game shows. Her greatest passion was her family and always enjoyed spending time with them. Mary was known as the Columbus Park "Neighborhood Mom", and was always the life of the family get together's.
Mary is survived by her husband, John R. Clark, whom she married on April, 17, 1954, just shy of 65 years. She is also survived by her six children, Debbie (Glen) Wade, Cindy Clark, Teresa Vladiff, Tami (Wade) Rapp, Johnnie (Sharon) Clark and Michael Clark; granddaughter, Amanda Clark and great- grandson, Noah who were special caregivers of mom; grandchildren, Michael (Amanda )Wade, Kevin (Nicole O'Dell) Wade, Stephanie (Mark) Hall, Eric Kirk, Jeremy (Anna Risner) Kirk, Steven (Michelle) Vladiff, Alisha McGlashan, Levi Vladiff, Kaleigh (Cody) Maynard, Brandi (Joseph) McLemore and Ali (Bryan Hudson) Clark; great-grandchildren, Danielle, Brayden, Jayson, Xavior, Kadance, Macie, Kyrsten, Hannah, Alex, Silas, Nora, John, Everett, Kaleb, Mallory, baby - Lexie on the way, and Brooke; sisters, Bonnie (Jim) Doherty, Nancy (Irv) Cherrington, Patricia Peters and Melinda (Mark) Thompson and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph and David Simpson; sister, Gladys Caudill and great-grandson, Peyton Vladiff.
Friends may call on Monday, April 15, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 11:00 am. Pastor Ryan Brown of the Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
