Carol Ann Lehmann Reinhard, 58, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, surrounded by her loving family, in her hometown of Sandusky, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, after her long battle with colon cancer.
Carol was born in Fostoria, OH to her late father Leonard Lehmann and living mother Dorothea (McClure) Lehmann. She graduated from Fostoria High School in 1979 and received her bachelor's degree from Miami University.
Carol, never much interested in an ordinary life, went on to travel to more than 70 countries, both by herself and with her loving husband, Chris Reinhard. The couple married on May 6, 1995, and together raised two tenacious girls, Charlene and Jordan. Carol went on to homeschool her two children and became a pillar of the homeschooling community, and by doing so has impacted thousands of people's lives.
Carol is survived by her sister, Louann (Jon) Brandeberry of Fostoria; six brothers, Jim Lehmann of Findlay, Chuck (Lorraine) Lehmann of NV, Tom (Suzi) Lehmann of FL, Doug (Teri) Lehman of IL, Dr. Steve (Sue) Lehmann of Fostoria and Rick Lehmann of OH, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, April 27 at Small City Taphouse, 202 Columbus Ave, Sandusky, OH 44870. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
