Mario Gonzales, 78, residing in Sandusky, suddenly passed away Sunday morning, April 21, 2019 at his residence.
Mario was born on September 1, 1940 in Eagle Pass, TX to the late Amelia Reyes.
Mario graduated from Margaretta High School in 1958. He was employed at Industrial Nut in Sandusky. Mario was a member of the Roofers Local #44 of Cleveland, AMVETS #17 and the VFW. He enjoyed watching the Cleveland sports teams, and spending time with his family.
Mario is survived by his wife, Janet (Lawrence) Gonzales; many loving sons and daughters; sister, Bettyann Owens; brother, Robert (Laurie) Gonzales and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Mario is preceded in death by his brothers, Michael "Mickey" Reyes and Joseph "Eddie" Gonzales and sister, Amelia "Emmy" Hemmer.
Friends may call on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 10:00 am until the time of memorial services at 12:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Pastor Wally Gilbert will officiate.
