Sharon Marie (Ekleberry) Cole, age 76, of Clyde, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, April 30, 2019, after spending her final days in her home surrounded by family and friends. Sharon joined her beloved husband, Doug, in heaven.
She was born February 6, 1943, in Sycamore, OH, and was a 1962 graduate of Margaretta High School.
She cherished and supported her family most of all and kept them well fed. With Sharon's involvement in garage saling, eating out, following all sports, and through her work at Firelands hospital; Sharon never knew a stranger. Over the years, she was involved with the Eagles, bowling, coaching softball, teaching Sunday school, and was an avid mushroom hunter.
Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters Tina (Tom) Fleming, Terri (Jeff) Meyer; and Tracy Haerr; grandchildren Chris, Nick, Eric, Jessie, Tony, Mike, Rachael; great grandchildren Garrett, Alex, Charlie, Mikey, and Lucy; and life-long friend Judie Fosnaugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Virginia (Taylor) Ekleberry; brother Jess Ekleberry and a nephew.
Friends may call from 4-8 PM, Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where services will held on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 10:30 AM. Pastor Jim Gregory will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
