Robert A. "Bobby" Willbond, 55, of Sandusky, passed away early Saturday morning, May 25, 2019 at his residence.
Bobby was born on July 17, 1963 on the Travis AFB in Solano County, CA to David and Judy (Slack) Willbond.
Bobby was a 1981 graduate of Edison High School and was employed as a UAW #435 carpenter for 20 years. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and watching NASCAR. Bobby was also a passionate fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Tammy (Lawton) Willbond, whom he married on July 3, 2001; mother, Judy Lane; daughter, Kayla Willbond of Wellington, OH; step-son, Justin (Rayna) Lawton of Sandusky, OH; 5 grandchildren, Jacob, Carissa, Cheyenne, Liam and Emma; sister, Audra Lane of Florida; goddaughter, Jennifer Stein of Sandusky and life-long friend, Steven (Penny) Brixie of Vermilion, OH.
Bobby is preceded in death by his father, David Willbond and grandmother, Helen Willbond.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 10 am until the time of memorial service at 11 am at Faith Memorial Church, 1320 E. Strub Road, Sandusky, OH 44870. Pastor Ken Hiser will be officiating.
